The spinit® CRP disposable disc is used with the spinit® instrument as a quantitative assay for the measurement of c-reactive protein concentration in whole blood (venous and capillary), serum and plasma samples.

technical data:

  • Sample volume: 5 µL
  • Sample material: Serum, plasma, whole blood
  • Excellent correlation to laboratory methods
  • Automatic correction for haematocrit
  • Kit size: 20 tests. Separately packed discs
  • Integrated positive and negative controls

  • about CRP

    C-reactive protein is an acute-phase protein produced by hepatocytes in response to a cytosine stimuli being released to bloodstream. After the inflammatory stimuli, CRP concentration in blood increases within 24 to 48 hours with the highest level being reached at the acute phase of the inflammatory response. This type of assay is used for detection and evaluation of infection, tissue injuries, inflammatory responses and associated diseases. The increase of CRP level in blood is not specific in several disease associated processes and should not be interpreted without a complete clinical evaluation.

    The spinit® BC disposable disc is used with the spinit® instrument as a quantitative assay for the measurement of total leucocytes, 5 part differential white blood cells and haematocrit.

    technical data

  • The instrument provides values for:
    • Total leucocytes;
    • 5-part differential WBC count -including neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils –in absolute numbers and percentage;
    • Haematocrit measurement (as percentage of the total volume).
  • Sample Volume: 15 µL
  • Sample material: whole blood -venous (EDTA) or capillary
  • Excellent correlation to laboratory methods
  • Kit size: 20 tests. Separately packed discs

    about BC

    A differential blood count with haematocrit measurement can better direct your decision making process. Specially, it can allow the physicians to give faster and more accurate diagnosis to their patients and therefore reduce the length of stay and flow of people in the primary care and emergency departments.

    diabetes with simplicity

    The spinit® HbA1c disposable disc is used with the spinit® instrument as a quantitative assay for the measurement of HbA1c - glycosylated haemoglobin in whole blood (venous and capillary).

    technical data:

  • Sample volume: 5 µL
  • Sample material: whole blood – venous (EDTA) or capillary
  • Analytical range: 4.5 - 13.1% (DCCT units); 25.7 – 120.0 mmol/mol (IFCC units)
  • Kit size: 20 tests. Separately packed discs

    about HbA1c

    The measurement of HbA1c is used as a diagnostic tool to identify patients who may be at risk for developing diabetes mellitus and is recommended for monitoring long-term blood glucose control in individuals with diabetes mellitus. Additionally, HbA1c concentration levels correlate well with the risk of long-term macro and microvascular diabetes complications. The development of such complications can be retarded by defining specific treatment targets and decision limits to achieve adequate metabolic control. The use of point of care testing for HbA1c measurement enables rapid provision of information regarding patient glycaemic history, which allows for timely decisions on therapeutic regimen, enhancing the likelihood of patient compliance to the treatment.
