The LiverHealthX project focuses on developing a point-of-care test for integrated liver function analysis, encompassing diagnostic and monitoring panels using protein, cellular and genetic biomarkers. This innovation responds to the global need for rapid, specific and accurate tests for combining liver health indices in a single platform.

Strategic Goals 

• Revolutionize liver disease diagnosis: Develop an advanced point-of-care solution that integrates protein, genetic, and cellular biomarkers, offering a more efficient and sophisticated approach compared to conventional methods; 
• Accelerate early and sensitive detection of liver damage: Implement the use of liver-specific microRNAs and circulating mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA-ccf) to enable faster and more accurate diagnoses before damage becomes irreversible; 
• Reduce the complexity and time of diagnostic testing: Eliminate the need for multiple sequential tests by providing an integrated and streamlined solution, improving accessibility and clinical efficiency in liver disease detection.
